Beginner Friendship Table Runner Class



Sign up for this beginner friendly class and make up 2 table runners. Learn all the basics of quilting including piecing, quilting, and binding with our class teacher and leave the class with at least one finished table runner. These skills will be beneficial before starting to make a full sized quilt.

Beginner, knowledge on how to use your sewing machine. No other skills required.
Requirements:
6 x 12 ruler, 6 x 24 ruler, 1/4 foot, Walking foot, Seam ripper, Rotary cutter, Cutting mat, Pins, Sewing machine in good working order ( handy to have your manual as well)

Instructor Bio:
Jean started quilting when she retired as an administrator with the Saskatoon Public School Board in 2002. She has dabbled in all types of quilting techniques, applique, traditional, modern, thread painting, landscapes and fabric portraits. Jean has taught many beginner and advanced classes with Guilders Goodies which is a part of the Saskatoon Quilting Guild, Sew Much Fun, a group of quilters who sew together and the Regina Quilters Guild in Regina.

Jean has participated in many classes that broadened her experiences, especially in the field of free
motion quilting. She spent a week with Claudia Pfeil from Germany learning free motion quilting and
three days with Dusty Farrell, from Pennsylvania. Jean was honored with the Saskatoon Quilters Guild Scholarship which she used to take an advanced free motion class from Bethanne Nemesh, from the United States. In 2019, Jean was the featured quilter at the Saskatoon Quilters Guild Quilt Show.
